Being the first of its kind in Uyo; the four (4) hours interactive session and workshop exposed aspiring models to the benefits of entrepreneurship, creativity and it educated them on the business of modeling and how to start a career in fashion designing and retailing, makeup, image consulting and photography.
The event had facilitators that equipped the minds of the models. On makeup, the CEO of Brownies Makeover Miss Christy Bassey lectured the models on eye brow grooming and what it takes to set up a makeup studio; Mr. George Essien of Learn & Earn Ventures, also a motivational speaker and Peak consultant championed the area of personal branding; on the business of modeling, Mr. Victor Silas of Glitz Faces Management equipped the models with the basic knowledge on how to navigate the modeling industry and avoid scam and pitfalls, while Miss Uduakobong of Dewillz Couture tutored the models on fashion designing and retailing. The event was anchored by Okon Idioke (official Mc of YESS conference).
The apex of the event was the signing up of models by different companies and agencies, free pageantry forms were given to models; plus sized models were not left out, they were also signed into agencies. The event had the likes of Mr. Ekpeno Gold (SA to the Governor of Akwa Ibom State on Social reorientation), Mr. Delightson Emmanuel (Chief Editor of Starzz Magazine and producer of Most Beautiful Girl in Akwa Ibom) and Dr. Otu of ICE Tv.
